PS7 Honors and Awards
PS7 has received several awards for the achievement of its students and most recently was named a California Distinguished School in 2009-2010. This recognition has only increased PS7’s tireless focus on improving students’ educational outcomes and on erasing the achievement gap for its students. To track academic achievement, PS7 relies on metrics in two areas:
Academic Performance Index (API) – a comprehensive statewide metric for school and student performance
California Standardized Testing (CST) – subject-specific standardized exams in English/Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Algebra, History/Social Science, and Science.
