I have been teaching kindergarten and first grade for 20 years. I love to teach young students the enjoyment of reading. This is my first year at PS7 teaching kindergarten.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a BA degree in Liberal Studies (Education) and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction that I received from San Diego State University.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR PS7 EXPERIENCE?
I like that everyone is working together as a team on the same goal, to have each child be successful in school and reach their highest potential. The teachers, parents, students and administrators work hard every day to ensure success.
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL GOALS FOR YOUR STUDENTS?
I want my students to have a positive learning experience and love coming to school each day since kindergarten is the beginning of their educational journey. I am passionate about teaching literacy and I want that enthusiasm to rub off on my students. Early success in reading will set them up for a lifetime of success.
