I am the Principal at Ps7 Middle. This is my fourth year with Ps7, and I am thrilled to be taking on this new role. We have an exciting program built around high expectations for all students. Our program is based on academic rigor and service to others. We are committed to ensuring the success of ALL of our students, and I am proud to serve this year as Principal.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Currently, I am in the third year of my doctoral program at U.C. Davis. In 2012, I will have my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy. In 2006, I completed my master degree with an emphasis in literacy from Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho. I attained my bachelor of science in 2003 in Education, also from Idaho State University.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR PS7 EXPERIENCE?
My favorite part of Ps7 is working with the students. Every year I get closer to the Ps7 family. I have a lot of pride when I get to take our students on field lessons. This is always a time when Ps7 students really shine! I also enjoy when alumni come back in their Sac High uniforms and volunteer around campus.
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL GOALS FOR YOUR STUDENTS?
I want ALL students to grow both in character and academics, and I want ALL parents to get involved in our program.

HOW DO YOU LIKE SPENDING YOUR FREE TIME WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING?
I love spending time with my family. My husband and I love to play tennis, go on runs, and travel around the globe learning about other cultures.
