I have been a member of the PS7 family for the past 7 years. I have spent those years as a member of the 5th grade team in Room 12! I am the Math and Science teacher for our 5th grade scholars and I love spending the school year ensuring that our 5th graders have all the tools they need to be successful the next year at the middle school and then into high school and college/university.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR PS7 EXPERIENCE?
I love that PS7 is truly a family and that we all are working together to ensure the success of each student. I also love that no matter what success we achieve we never allow ourselves to sit back and relax we are constantly striving to improve because that is what our student and families deserve.
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL GOALS FOR YOUR STUDENTS?
Beyond making sure that all of our 5th graders achieve mastery of all 5th grade standards. I also want my students to be well rounded, caring, thoughtful, individuals and I work each year to give them opportunities to develop that side of themselves.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE?
Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it. ~ Danny Kaye
HOW DO YOU LIKE SPENDING YOUR FREE TIME WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING?
I love spending time with my family! My husband is an amazing chef so a night spent eating a gourmet meal and reading a book to my son is a perfect way to end a busy day. I also really enjoy reading books that challenge my way of thinking and force me to see things in a different light.
