I am the 6th Grade Social Studies and 7th Grade Social Studies/Science teacher at PS7. I will be working together with our team to ensure all of our students reach our big goals for the year. I am a very energetic and sometimes humorous individual with a passion to learn and grow as a teacher and as a person. I want my students to not only learn the curriculum, but also develop into well-rounded individuals and global citizens. I was born and raised in the Sacramento area and I look forward to teaching in my local community.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR PS7 EXPERIENCE?
The aspect I like most about PS7 is the high expectations and commitment the administration, teachers, students, and parents have for our young scholars.
WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL GOALS FOR YOUR STUDENTS?
The big goal is that all students score 80% or higher on the final benchmark or increase their scores by 10 percentage points, or more, per benchmark exam.
Another goal is for students to develop an interest in current events. I want to see my students take interest and become connected to the community and the issues and events that influence their lives.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE?
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” –Wayne Gretzky
HOW DO YOU LIKE SPENDING YOUR FREE TIME WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING?
When not working I like to play ice hockey, snowboard, golf, go to the gym, watch funny movies, eat new and exciting foods, watch the history channel, and catch up with friends and family. You may catch me at a local In and Out Burger or Starbucks, two of my favorite places.
